Yesterday

What a beautiful day we had yesterday. We started off with a trip to the feed store in Ortonville. It is called Hamiltons I think. What an awesome place! Super cheap and the staff was awesome! Joey got some seed and they had lots of baby chickens and ducks. They were all sold though :( Lucky for me also has chickens. We bought 6. One is Squishy, he is the boy. Another is Jose de Pepe and another is Meeeghan. The others are yet to be named. They all look alike except for Squishy cause he is all yellow. Is it ethically/morally wrong to Magic Marker them so I can tell them apart?Rissa tried to eat one when we turned our backs or maybe she was played with it. Who knows??? She plucked it out of the box though but we caught her. We also now have hawks circling. They too want to eat my new friends.

A new funny Kyle story.............

So Kyle has a chicken tender on a fork and walks up to the box of baby chicks. He says "I'm gonna show them my chicken nugget. " I say "Kyle that's cruel, that could be their Mom". Kyle looks at them, looks at it and is perfectly still for about 45seconds while his brain is going full speed. He then blurts out........"I AM GOING TO EAT IT, I AM GOING TO EAT THEIR MOTHER!" Nice.

Miranda Kyle and I planted bulbs. I thought 160 is not a lot of bulbs. It kinda is. My Dad said watch it cause the squirrels will steal them. I said no there are never squirrels in the front they always stay in the back and eat the birdseed. I woke up to a squirrel in the front yard, I think he was laughing at me.

Finally an update..

Been busy doing a whole lot of nothing. I ordered some bulbs and they should come soon. This is my first time planting bulbs so I am hoping for good things. Joe has been busy outside cleaning up. Steve the neighbor brought his tractor over and they worked outside almost all day Sunday. He got some of his food plot area planted so he is happy about that.

It is almost time for Miranda's three year old pictures. Uggg! I guess I just need something to obsess over. I do like to shop for clothes. It works out cause she loves her princess dresses and changes six times a day. The picture people at Walmart must see the word sucker tattooed on my forehead.

Looking forward to everyone coming over for Easter on Sunday. The kids love to do the egg hunt and there is always plenty of good food.

Meet Roo

Well we finally broke down and found a friend for Riker. Her name is Rissa. I actually have some sort of mental block on that so I call her Reeka. Whatever. She doesn't seem to care! Her former owners said she answer to Rissa Roo so sometimes we just call her Roo. She came to live with us last Sunday. She was very, very thin. I heard a story that she was depressed because she was "acting" mother for a litter of pups and the pups were sold. Poor girl! She is doing great and has gained some weight. She is super lovey and a really good girl. Once we got past the first few days where Riker tried to hump her all the time we were fine. Roo is spayed and we have decided to neuter Riker as well. Joe thinks its an insult but I vote for neuter. She runs out in the yard and comes back immediately when you call her. She is such a good dog! What is great about that is now Riker follows her so instead of dashing off to the neighbors he actually stays in the yard. A miracle!
As you can see Riker has been given an area on the floor and Reeka has made the sofa her home. It is a bad habit I will break soon. Hopefully.

Happy New Year!

Well it's time to get back to the crazy schedule that is the Miller life. Kyle is starting a new Scout group so that should take away some of the pain. Karate is done unless we decide to continue at the actual school in Fenton. Pierce only has 3 more basketball games and then tournaments and he is finished.

So what's next......Possibly dance for Miranda? Baseball for Pierce? Soccer for Kyle? I am sure we can find something to keep the chaos intact.

New Years Eve was a quiet one. Jim and Kelly came over and we kinda just hung out. The boys were up north so Miranda was glad to have Dylan to play with. Riker also ended his year off right thanks to Kelly. If you get a chance check out Joe's new site lowermichiganpics.blogspot.com

Time flies...

Wow haven't posted in a while....Not as bad as Kelly who hasn't posted since July.

Enjoying some quiet time right now. The boys are up north with Grandma and Grandpa Miller. Ann, Rich and the kids are there too. They always love to go up. I don't have any time off so I won't be making it up for the holidays.

Colored my hair today. The greys were attacking so it was time!

Trying to clean up the chaos that Christmas created. Ugg what a mess. Of course the one thing I need to return I have no receipt!!!! I will find it. Maybe.

Here are some pics....

The Shop-a-thon

Well Black Friday is done! I scooped up some fabulous deals on Thursday. Joe and I went out Friday and had fun. We woke up 2hrs late but we did not really miss out on anything. There wasn't a lot of things that we had to have. This probably completes 80% of my shopping hooray!!!!

Pierce wants a lizard. I found some on craigslist and now just have to decide if I really want to go there. The trips to the store are a pain to buy crickets all the time. Breed our own? I don't know. I have my doubts he will feed one pet let alone the lizard and the crickets.

Gotta run Miranda is making me nuts!!!!
